After branding 'no' advocates as hateful homophobes, will the 'yes' advocates thank them for participating in a democratic activity? The exercise was unnecessarily expensive, and a lost opportunity to attempt an electronic vote that would have been a world first, verifiable and resistant to tampering. It was made more expensive by the rabid opposition of Greens and ALP who insisted people not be asked about this matter.
