Don't give up on hope. The blood libel hoax about Jews does not die but keeps morphing. In 1554, Suleiman the magnificent, leader of the Ottoman Empire, issued a royal decree denouncing it. Several Popes have denied it happened. It is not Jewish practice. Yet politically motivated persons spread lies which hurt Jews everywhere. So I greatly distrust the Wikipedia account of the so called Safsaf Massacre of 1948 attributed to the IDF. I know that the UN and British Palestine were supposed to give Israel to the Jews and Jordan invaded to prevent it. I also know Nazis were employed to advise the military of Egypt, Syria and other nations hostile to Israel. I know that despite intense opposition from the world, Israel stands today and is a great world citizen. It is possible an atrocity happened. I think it a long bow to taint all of Israel with it, if it happened at all. But the article only quotes hostile sources to Israel (including internal Israeli memos). Is it real like the hoax story of Billy Jack used to promote Democrats? (Billy Jack was an ok film, but the back story of a Vietnam atrocity did not happen, although tragedies did happen). It is important because of how we deal with it now. Activists are using such material to delegitimise Israel. The truth is that Muslims are safer in Israel than they are anywhere else in the world. Even though terrorists would kill them if they could.

Within fifty years, the Roman empire would be conquered.
