Your Song Elton John 1970

David Ball sings unaccompanied.
"Your Song" is one of Elton John's most beloved and iconic tracks, often considered his breakthrough hit. It was released in 1970 on his self-titled second studio album. The song marked the beginning of a long and successful partnership between Elton John and his lyricist, Bernie Taupin.

Background:

1. Creation:

  • The lyrics to "Your Song" were written by Bernie Taupin when he was just 17 years old. Taupin wrote the words quickly over breakfast at Elton John's mother's house, where he was staying at the time. • Elton John composed the music almost immediately after reading Taupin's lyrics. The melody was created at the piano, capturing the heartfelt and tender tone of the lyrics.

2. Lyrics and Theme:

  • The song is a straightforward, sincere love song that expresses the feelings of someone who wants to convey their love but is unsure how to do so. The ...

Jingle Bell Rock

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air

What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh

Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock

Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air

Intro to Locals for the Conservative Voice

David Daniel Ball calls himself the Conservative Voice.

I'm a teacher with three decades experience teaching math to high school kids.I also work with first graders and kids in between first grade and high school. I know the legends of why Hypatia's dad is remembered through his contribution to Math theory. And I know the legend of why followers of Godel had thought he had disproved God's existence.

I'm not a preacher, but I am a Christian who has written over 28 books all of which include some reference to my faith. Twelve blog books on world history and current affairs, detailing world events , births and marriages on each day of the year, organised by month. Twelve books on the background to and history of Bible Quotes. One Bible quote per day for a year. An intro to a science fiction series I'm planning, post apocalyptic cyber punk. An autobiography with short story collections.

I'm known in Australia for my failure as a whistleblower over the negligence death of a school boy. ...

Steve Stewart Song Father I thank you

Gospel song from Steve Stewart, sung by David Ball unaccompanied.
It was written by Canadian evangelical convert and pastor Steve Stewart, in 1980. It was included in Scripture in Song, Volume II, Songs of the Kingdom, published in New Zealand in 1981. At that time, it was listed as copyright Scripture in Song.

The song doesn't appear to have been recorded or published anywhere since then. But YouTube clearly shows that it is sung in a number of countries, and CCLI reports that it has been translated into Korean.
